My name is Tonja Santos (she/her) and I have worked caring for birthers and families as a Nurse Midwife for almost 20 years. I am also a Midwifery educator and a leader in a large full-scope midwifery practice.
In 2019, I initiated and now lead Racial Disparities and Health Equity Initiatives in my home institution with the goal of improving maternal and infant outcomes through clinical, systemic and cultural change.
In my non-working time I parent two children, 11 and 14, and I enjoy camping, kayaking, taking care of plants and knitting.
